The University of Notre Dame owns a lot of land around an already expansive and verdant campus. It is focusing on the first concentric band of land just off campus—on the need for mixed use on the edge of campus for students, and on the need for faculty housing close to the campus. The host city, a mile and half from the campus, is the University’s next long-range planning focus.
